"Moscow Meditations" is a project photographed in Moscow exploring themes of isolation and contemporary Russian identity against the backdrop of an urban uprooted backdrop, distilling moments in pockets of silence.

Ekaterina visited areas that she grew up in around Moscow, documenting the changing landscape of the city. From Taganka to Chistiye Prudy, the regional train station to her grandmother's dacha, she captured a city in flux, its renovations, alterations. The disfigurement of a city undergoing rapid and violent urban change.

All of the photographs are taken on Kodak Tri-X film.
